General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces received in Abu Dhabi yesterday Frank Brown, Dean of INSEAD International and the accompanying delegation.

INSEAD is a graduate business school and academic research institution with two campuses in Fontainebleau, France, and Singapore. Founded in 1957 as a privately funded, independent business school, INSEAD is considered one of the world's leading business schools and is known for its influential worldwide alumni network.

INSEAD recently opened a Centre for Executive Education and Research in Abu Dhabi. The Centre will start offering business administration and executive management courses for Government and private entities.

The centre in Abu Dhabi will play a central role in INSEAD's global business education network. It will complement INSEAD's existing presence in the world's major economic regions and will be the hub for INSEAD's outreach to the entire Middle East and beyond. INSEAD aims to attract an international audience to the Emirates to learn and exchange on strategic international business issues.

Sheikh Mohammed underscored Abu Dhabi Government's emphasis on human resource development and streamlining of government performance. "We are keen to keep abreast with the latest international advances and provide our youth with world-class education and skill development," he said.

INSEAD's main differentiation factor lies in its global perspective and multicultural diversity, which are reflected in aspects of its research and teaching. The school has two full-fledged campuses in Fontainebleau and in Singapore and campus switches are possible and transparent content-wise during the whole MBA programme.

Moreover, the INSEAD-Wharton Alliance, announced in May 2001, combines INSEAD's resources with those of Wharton's campuses in Philadelphia and San Francisco. Finally, in 2006, the school has announced the opening of an executive education centre in Abu Dhabi. (Emirates News Agency, WAM)
