Mohammed bin Zayed receives scholars

General H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces received yesterday Islamic scholars from various countries, who are in the UAE during the holy month of Ramadan at President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan's invitation.

Present were H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler's Representative in the Western Region and Lt. General H.H. Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister '&' Interior Minister.

Sheikh Mohammed urged the scholars to preach about the tolerant teachings of Islam and to enlighten young Muslims about the true values of Islam which promote moderation, interaction end tolerance.

The scholars thanked Sheikh Mohammed for the hospitality. They also praised the intellectual seminars he hosts at his Ramadan Majlis.

The meeting was attended by Dr Hamdan Musalam Al Mazrouei, Chairman of the General Authority for Islamic Affairs and Awqaf, Sheikhs and senior officials. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
