General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces yesterday made a tour of the different pavilions and stands at the ongoing IDEX 2007.

Sheikh Mohammed visited the stand of Caracal, a local UAE company specialised in defence products and was briefed by its Managing Director Hamad Khalifa Al Neyadi on its flagship product, the Caracal pistol, entirely made in the UAE. Sheikh Mohammed reviewed the pistol's technical and operational specifications and praised the product, developed by national capabilities in partnership with the private sector.

Sheikh Mohammed also stopped at the pavilions of Russia, Korea and Turkey. He also visited the stand of Abu Dhabi Ship Building Company and was updated on the progress of Baynunah project.

Sheikh Mohammed was accompanied during his tour by Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan, Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Executive Affairs Authority and Abdullah Muhaer Al Kutbi, Director of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Office. (Emirates News Agency, WAM)
