Mohammed bin Zayed tours IDEX 2011

His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces made an inspectional tour of the 10th International Defence Exhibition (IDEX 2011) shortly after its official opening yesterday in Abu Dhabi.

He visited number of wings set up by national and international companies participating in the event, where as 1600 various firms from 53 countries showcase their latest products in defence weapons and technology.

Sheikh Mohammed stopped at various wings to talk to the representatives of world's major manufacturers and providers of defence weapons, equipment and technology. He exchanged talks with them on the latest trends in the manufacturing of military equipments and defence weapons and underlined the importance of the exhibition. The officials of the participating firms asserted that IDEX has proved to be the major global event in defence sector and attracts the attention of both the manufacturers and the countries. - Emirates News Agency, WAM
