The majlis of H.H General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces on Tuesday is hosting a lecture by Daniel C. Esty, Hillhouse Professor of Environmental Law and Policy at Yale University.
Hillhouse Professor of Environmental Law and Policy, School of Forestry '&' Environmental Studies; and Clinical Professor of Law, Yale Law School. He is also the Director of the Yale Centre for Environmental Law and Policy as well as the Centre for Business and the Environment at Yale "Green to Gold: Environmental Sustainability in a Changing World" is one in a series of constructive scientific lectures sponsored by H.H the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi.
Professor Esty is the author or editor of nine books and numerous articles on environmental policy issues and the relationships between environment and corporate strategy, competitiveness, trade, globalization, governance, and development.
In recent years, Esty was named a "Global Leader for Tomorrow Environment Task Force" by the World Economic Forum and one of the 100 most influential non-governmental officials in the world by The Earth Times He was also the recipient of the 2002 American Bar Association Award for Distinguished Achievement in Environmental Law and Policy.
Esty's recent prizewinning book is titled "Green to Gold: How Smart Companies Use Environmental Strategy to Innovate, Create Value, and Build Competitive Advantage." – Emirates News Agency, WAM
