Mohammed foundation to fund vital Afghan projects

The Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, in conjunction with other charitable organisations, will fund the construction of five new housing units and two factories for the production of prosthetic limbs in Afghanistan, as well as a number of other vital projects, at a total cost of Dh11.34 million.



The foundation will also fund the construction of two factories for the production of prosthetic limbs, one in Kandahar and another in Kabul. Each factory will cost about Dh165,000. The foundation will also build a school and boarding facilities in Ghazni at a cost of Dh230,000. The foundation will build 10 deep water wells and 100 surface water wells in various parts of Afghanistan, as well as two clinics equipped with one ambulance each. (The Khaleej Times)
