Mohammed receives Mayor of Shanghai

Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai H. H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum received Tuesday His Excellency Han Zheng, Mayor of Shanghai. Sheikh Mohammed welcomed the Chinese official and congratulated the friendly government and people of China on the resounding success achieved by the recently concluded Olympic Games in Beijing.

Sheikh Mohammed and his guest exchanged views on ways of enhancing bilateral bonds which he termed as 'long-standing and historic to the standard of true partnership'. The Mayor of Shanghai said he was impressed with the staggering progress of the UAE. He praised Dubai as a distinct world metropolitan city and a melting pot for cultures and ethnics. According to him, Dubai has achieved a matchless progress and prosperity thanks to the prudent vision of Sheikh Mohammed. He said the recent visit made by Sheikh Mohammed to China was successful by all measures – Emirates News Agency, WAM
