Mohammed visits IDEX 2005

General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of UAE Armed Forces, visited yesterday the defence exhibition, IDEX 2005 in its third day, where he toured a number of national and global pavilions which exhibited the latest state of the art military equipment and defensive systems.

At the German, Russian, Austrian and Indian pavilions, Sheikh Mohammed was briefed on the latest production of the weapons' industry with accompanying defence advanced equipment capable of redressing risks and unforeseeable threats, as well as sufficient informational requirements apt to satisfy the various needs of the Armed Forces in the entire world.

He also visited the pavilion of Qatar, along contributions of participating national pavilions including the Union Airlines. Khaleej Company for the Maintenance of Aircrafts, Abu Dhabi Construction Company, Emirates for Strategic Studies and Research Centre, Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Smart Square Project. Sheikh Mohammed was accompanied in his tour by Sheikh Dr. Ahmed bin Saif Al Nahyan, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Civil Aviation and Chairman of the Union Airways, Sheikh Sultan bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Under Secretary at the Eastern Region Ruler Representatives' Court and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority, and Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan.
