Adding a new feather in his horsemanship cap, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum won the third leg of the Giants Endurance Challenge, emerging champion of the three-leg ride.
Staged at the Dubai International Endurance City at Seih Assalam, the 120-kms ride was graced by King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance, a number of Sheikhs and owners of stables.
Around 41 riders were contested in the race. H. H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Presidential Affairs, H.H. Sheikh Majed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, Sheikh Saeed bin Maktoum bin Khalifa Al Maktoum took part in the race along with Sheikh Nasser Bin Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa from Bahrain.
King Hamad and Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum crowned Sheikh Mohammed as champion of the Challenge. Sheikh Nasser was also honoured for taking the second slot. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
