A UAE Plane no.16 with 40 tons of relief supplies for Palestinians arrived in Amman yesterday as part of the airbridge by the UAE Red Crescent Society, RCS, to deliver relief assistance to the Palestinians. In a statement, an RCS official, Nasir Al Jabri, said that the items from the plane no.16 will reach the Jenin refugee camp by road in coordination with the Jordanian Charity Organisation and the UAE Embassy in Amman. Al Jabri pointed out that in line with the directives of Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, 800 housing units would be built in Jenin, in addition to the renting of 100 other houses to accommodate those who lost their houses during the Israeli aggression on the Jenin refugee camp. He said another 100 houses would be built in Nablus, adding that construction works in the two towns would include mosques and schools. Bassam Hijawi, Counsellor at the Palestinian Embassy in Amman thanked President H.H. Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the UAE government and people for their assistance to the Palestinian people.
