The Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Charity organisation will soon embark on a daily airbridge operations to deliver relief assistance to the internally displaced persons inside Afghanistan. According to Ibrahim Mohammed Bumelha, the Organisation's Deputy Board Chairman, the continuous flow of refugees to the camps set by the Organisation in the outskirts of the Afghan town of Kandahar had become necessary for the organisation to enable it continue its airbridge delivery of relief supplies to meet the increasing number of the displaced persons seeking refuge at the camps. He pointed out that apart from the 1,200-tent camp in the Kandahar region, the Organisation has also set up this week a camp of 280 tents for nomad Afghans, while negotiations for the setting up of another camp in Western Kandahar is going on with the Afghan government.
