A delegation from the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation has started supervising the construction of a camp for Afghan refugees on the Afghanistan border with Pakistan. The camp, to accommodate around 10,000 refugees, will be ready this week. Member of the Foundation's trustee council, Khalid Ali bin Zayed, said the camp will ease the suffering of the people. A number of charities, both local and abroad, are sending aid through the Foundation. Dubai TV will visit the camp to cover the distribution of aid, and other media are also welcome, he added. A large tent has been set up near the Foundation's main building on Bani Yas Road in Dubai to receive donations for the refugees. The Foundation has also opened an account at Dubai Islamic Bank, number 6066666, to receive cash donations. (The Gulf News)
