NMC, Arab-Bavaria Friendship Society sign MoU

National Media Council (NMC) and Munich-based Arab-Bavaria Friendship Society signed yesterday at the NMC headquarters a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for boosting joint media cooperation.

The MoU is part of NMC's strategy to find out new outlets to present and disseminate UAE news and development model to other parts of the world.

Inked by Ibrahim Al Abed, NMC Director General, and Thomas Nair, Chairman of Arab-Bavaria Friendship Society, the MoU aims at strengthening bonds of friendship in media sector through exchange of visits by media persons as well as monitoring and translation of their works.

Under the MoU, the NMC will supply the Society's office at Munich International Airport with publications on UAE for publishing them in the German media. The two sides will also coordinate efforts in regards to organisation of conferences, forums and other events at the International Press Club of Munich. Training and events like exhibitions are another important areas of joint cooperation between the NMC and the Society. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
