In a vibrant salutation to UAE when it celebrates its 36th National Day, both Sweden and Norway will bring in artists from their lands to perform in Abu Dhabi as part of the festivities. Under the patronage of General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, the Abu Dhabi Music and Arts Foundation (ADMAF) in cooperation with Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage (ADACH) will organise a concert on Monday 3rd December, featuring artists from Sweden and Norway.

The Radio Symphony Orchestra is one of Europe's finest today, one that has sought to promote Music across the borders for many years. It has been enjoyed by millions 'live' and on the air waves. In doing so it has attracted World Class conductors and Soloists. The Orchestra will feature its Conductor Stephane Denve, its Soloist Leif Ove Andsnes and its eighty-four Musicians.

The world-renowned Norwegian pianist Leif Ove Andsnes will be performing at the concert. Andsnes, described as 'the most accomplished pianist of the new generation', has performed regularly in the world's premier concert venues since he first attracted international attention in the early 1990s. In addition to being a recipient of Norway's most distinguished honour, Commander of the Royal Norwegian Order of St. Olav, Andsnes earlier this year received the prestigious Peer Gynt Prize. Abroad Mr. Andsnes has been bestowed a number of prominent international awards. (Emirates News Agency, WAM)
