The National Media Council (NMC) reviewed yesterday the arrangements for the UAE participation at the International Expo Zaragoza 2008, to be held in Spain under the theme 'Water and Sustainable Development' from 14th June to 14th September.

Presided over by Saqr Gobash, the Minister of Labour, the meeting took stock of activities which occurred since its last meeting.

Update on the NMC website in English, French, Spanish, German, Chinese, Russian, Korean and Portuguese languages were also reviewed during the meeting. Over 600,000 browsers clicked on the NMC website over the last three months while the Emirates News Agency (WAM) website saw 471,000 visitors during February and March. The council took note of a series of agreements for mutual news exchange between WAM and foreign news agencies and newspapers. The meeting looked into a number of topics on its agenda and took appropriate actions on them. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
