H.H General Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces has stressed that national human resources are the country's most precious asset and represent the basic capital that has the biggest impact on its productivity.

"The more skilled and effective national human resources are, the more capable they become to boost competitiveness and achieve sustainable development," Sheikh Mohammed added in remarks at a meeting with members of the staff of the Court who graduated from INSEAD's Masters in Entrepreneurial Leadership programme (MEL). The programme was organized by the Court of the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and INSEAD, the leading international business school.

Sheikh Mohammed noted that the need for a clear work methodology and clearly defined visions for entrepreneurial leadership has become even more urgent, given the rapid and increasingly complex and intertwined developments of modern age. This requires the development of innovative practices and the unleashing of ideas for the employment of science and new technology to further boost productivity and find practical and executive solutions to overcome impediments to the desired achievements.

He also stressed the significance of attracting internationally renowned specialized institutions in order to benefit from their knowledge and advanced experience in training and prepare human resources that are capable for making the best future.

"All are partners in the process of realizing the aspirations of the prudent leadership's Abu Dhabi 2030 Economic Vision," he said.

"Unless we develop our education system and improve its quality, we will never achieve our aspirations. Education is a cornerstone in the process of development and making the change and is the focus of interest of the wise leadership," Sheikh Mohammed added.

The program is a part of a strategic plan by the Court of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince to promote the culture of excellence, high performance and continuous development and is focused on the promotion of students' leadership and managerial abilities.

Modules focus on entrepreneurship, innovation and leadership skills and includes courses in strategic planning, decision-making, internal and external communication as well as on the use of emotional accounting, marketing, decision-making, emotional intelligence, the art of negotiation, proaction and innovation. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
