New Zealand Premier hails progress in UAE

Wellington - Prime Minister of New Zealand Helen Clark stressed that the UAE-New Zealand bilateral relations have been witnessing progress in all fields. Clark who made her remarks as she received the UAE Ambassador to New Zealand and Australia Dr. Saeed Mohammed Al-Shamsi hailed the UAE wise leadership expressing her admiration of the remarkable progress the UAE is making both regionally and internationally.

For his part, the UAE envoy said the moderate foreign policies of both UAE and New Zealand contribute to the strength of their bilateral relations and rapprochement on a number of issues. The economy and the geographical location of the UAE make it a favourite destination for all peoples of the world.

Meanwhile at a separate meeting in Wellington, the UAE Ambassador and New Zealand's Minister of Foreign Affairs Winston Peters discussed ways to further promote bilateral relations between their countries. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
