New brand of NAMFI showcased at IDEX 2007

The new brand of NATO Missile Firing Installation (NAMFI) is being showcased at IDEX 2007.



"NAMFI is the only range where six drones can be simultaneously provided as target presentation and the only place in Europe where patriot missiles can be fired", said Ltcdr Panos Kallergis, Chief of Coordination Office At NAMFI during a presentation yesterday in IDEX 2007. It was constructed in Souda Bay area of Crete Island by NATO infrastructure funds from 1964 to 1968 and since then, it is in continuous operation.



"NAMFI is today used by Germany, Greece, The Netherlands and Belgium, which are called User Nations", said Kallergis On his part, Mike Creed, the Managing Director of Action Aviation delivered a presentation promoting the MD Explorer Helicopter at IDEX 2007.



Dubai-based Action Aviation, the international organisation which specialises in the marketing of new and pre-owned high performance fixed-wing and helicopter aircraft is supporting MD helicopters in the Middle East, India, Sri Lanka and Scandinavia. (Emirates News Agency, WAM)
