The National Health Insurance Company- Daman, has announced that a newborn whose mother is insured within Daman's Enhanced Plans will now be automatically insured from 1st of January, free of charge, until the expiry of the mother's insurance plan.

At the time of birth, parents will be required to enrol their newborns, who will be covered free of charge until the expiry of their mother's insurance policy. At the renewal of the mother's policy, babies will be renewed and charged the renewal premium for the next year.

Dr. Michael Bitzer, Daman's Chief Executive Officer, commented: "With this new inclusion, we're ensuring that babies avail the same benefits as their mothers from the first day they are born. We are delighted to introduce yet another advantage to Daman's Enhanced Plans and hope that this new addition will act as a catalyst for the good health and wellbeing of both mother and child." - Emirates News Agency, WAM
