Oxford Business Group (OBG), the global publishing, research and consultancy firm, has launched The Report: Dubai 2008, the latest of its annual business guides to the emirate.

Rated as the premier guide to Dubai, the publication features a series of exclusive interviews with leading political and economic figures in the emirate.

The interviews and the analysis of The Report, describe Dubai as a pro-business city based on solid convictions and strong commitments to override any challenge that is an outcome of global economic or political upheavals.

Oliver Cornock, OBG Regional Editor, said: "It is hugely satisfying to oversee such an exciting project as The Report: Dubai 2008. The demand for information on the emirate has been growing in line with Dubai's meteoric rise as one of the most desirable places to live and work.

"The pro-business agenda that the authorities have shown steadfast commitment to keeping should ensure that Dubai is in good shape to face what are, by anyone's standards, testing times.

"Dubai has managed to launch a successful diversification of its economy, which will be particularly important as the emirate develops.

"Growth in virtually every sector, particularly in real estate and construction, as well as the financial services sector, is enormous." The Report: Dubai 2008 has been published with primary research partner the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and also with the National Bank of Dubai as banking partner, the Millennium Finance Corporation as capital markets partner, Holman Fenwick Willan as legal partner and Grant Thornton as accountancy partner.

Chase Thompson, Editorial Manager, said: "The Report: Dubai 2008 is a unique publication which provides regional and foreign direct investors with the intelligence and information they need to guide their investments into this vibrant, expanding and rapidly transforming economy.

"Our experienced team of international analysts, working in Dubai for six months has benefitted from the invaluable broad ranged knowledge and counsel, top quality analysis and perspectives provided by our five partners in publishing this latest business guide to the emirate." Rated as the premier guide for foreign direct investment into the emirate's dynamic economy, The Report will offer a comprehensive and detailed assessment of Dubai's opportunities for growth, the economic challenges which lay ahead, and the overall attractiveness of the emirate for investors.

With an international distribution of 76,000, the 200-page publication provides a complex guide to the many facets of Dubai, including its macroeconomics, infrastructure, political landscape and banking developments, and is considered the most comprehensive intelligence review produced on the emirate. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
