Obeid bin Saif Al Nasseri, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral resources, and his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Fahmi attended here today the signing of a memorandum of understanding between Emirates Petroleum (Emarat), and Middle East company for cisterns and storing, to set up a joint company to be called "Emarat-Egypt”. The memorandum was signed by Rashid Al Shamsi, Emarat deputy director general for marketing affairs and Maher Abada, board chairman of the Egyptian company. The memorandum stipulates the establishment of 69 new plants in Egypt for the distribution of oil products and related services by the new company during a period of five years. Abada described the signing of the memorandum as a new form of co-operation with Emarat in marketing oil products and would help in benefiting from Emarats leading national brand for petrol service stations.
