What about availing of a number of services of various government departments at a single centre? Taajeel centre in Dubai is aimed at achieving customer satisfaction and happiness by simplifying the procedures at one-stop destination.

Taajeel, derived from 'quick' in Arabic, was launched on Monday to provide transactions of major government services including Department of Economic Development, Emirates Identity Authority, the General Directorate of Residency and Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation and Dubai Health Authority.

Najla Ibrahim Al Shamsi, general manager, said the key is to provide an integrated system that finishes all documentations for customers in a quick and short period of time.

"We wanted to have an Emirati project that implements the government's vision in achieving people's happiness. Our aim is to be the first platform dedicated to pleasing all society segments by 2019," Al Shamsi told Khaleej Times. Dubbed "customer happiness centre", the project also includes a green app that issues virtual tokens for customers wanting to avail services in different government sectors. The centre, located just opposite Deira City Centre Metro Station, will be managed by an Emirati administration.

Al Shamsi added that Taajeel centre will also be directed towards encouraging Emiratis to enter the workplace and invest in projects that serve the country.

"In other service centres, we find Emirati women only on counters for information entry. But in this centre, the administration will be managed by Emiratis who will have career progress," she said.

Currently operating with 20 employees, Al Shamsi said seven more branches will open in Dubai, among which two branches in Deira and Bur Dubai will be opened by the next year. She added that transaction prices will be similar to other service centres, offering free services to the first 10 customers. Valet parking service will also be provided. – Khaleej Times -
