Pakistani Foreign Minister Abdul Sattar has hailed the strong ties between his country and the UAE. In an interview with the Emirates News Agency, WAM, Abdul Sattar said that Pakistani people were indebted to President H.H. Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan for the great care he gave the people of Pakistan. He added that Sheikh Zayed built hospitals, educational institutions and charity organisations for the Pakistani people. He said that President Pervez Musharaf always liked to use every opportunity to consult with Sheikh Zayed, visit the UAE and meet with the President. Sattar added that Pakistani officials were also always in contact with their UAE counterparts to further the co-operation between the two countries, particularly as the UAE had become the greatest investor in Pakistan.
