Peruvian PM visits UAE Pavilion at Shanghai Expo 2010

The Peruvian Prime Minister Roberto Danino has been among the visitors of the UAE Pavilion at the Shanghai Exposition 2010. Other visitors to the UAE pavilion included deputy commissioner general of the German Pavilion, a delegation from the Higher Organizing Committee of the Expo 2012 Yeosu Korea, deputy Chairman of General Motors-China and others.

Upon viewing documentaries at the UAE pavilion, the visitors expressed appreciation of the economic, environmental and urban progress made by the UAE.

Deputy Commissioner General of the UAE Pavilion Abdullah Al-Aidarous said such visits are part of the interaction with other participant countries at the world's biggest exposition where more than 190 countries and more than 50 international organizations are participating to showcase their progress, experience and cultures.

Held under the theme "Better City, Better Life", Expo 2010, officially Expo 2010 Shanghai China is being held on both banks of the Huangpu River in the city of Shanghai, China, from May 1st to October 31st, 2010 and is most expensive Expo in the history of the world's fairs. The Shanghai World Expo is also the largest World's Fair site ever at 5.28 square km.

China expects to receive almost 100 foreign leaders and millions of people from across the world to come and visit the World Expo. More than 70-100 million visitors are expected to visit the expo, which would make it the most visited in history. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
