President confers first Class Independence Order on former Australian Ambassador to UAE

Sydney - President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has conferred first Class Independence Order on former Australian Ambassador to UAE Noel Donald Campbell, in appreciation to his efforts during his tenure in the country to boost the cooperation ties between the UAE and Australia in different fields.

Visiting UAE Foreign Minister HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, decorated the Australian ambassador at the headquarters of government of New South Wales in Sydney in presence of Professor Marie Bashir, governor of New South Wales in Australia and Stephen Smith, Australian Foreign Minister. Sheikh Abdullah wished success to the Australian official in future tasks.

On his part, Campbell thanked the UAE President for conferring on him the order, wishing all the best to the UAE. He hailed the depth of historic ties between the two countries. - Emirates News Agency, WAM
