President honours Red Crescent board chairman

President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan has conferred Independence Order on Khalifa Nasser Al Suwaidi, in recognition of the role he played as Chairman of the board of the UAE Red Crescent Authority and his contributions in the humanitarian and charity fields.

HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, decorated Al Suwaidi yesterday with the first class order in honour of his many years of endeavours and dedication in the services of humanitarian and charitable works. Sheikh Hamdan praised Al Suwaidi and thanked him for the achievements made by the RCA under his chairmanship. Al Suwaidi expressed gratitude to President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and to Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The decoration ceremony was attended by HE Dr Ali bin Abdullah Al Ka'abi, RCA's Board Chairman, Sultan bin Khalfan Al Rumaithi, Chief of the Deputy Prime Minister's Court and Sana'a Darwish Al Kitbi, the Deputy Prime Minister's Advisor for Humanitarian Affairs and a number of senior officials. - Emirates News Agency, WAM
