President of Uruguay receives Abdullah bin Zayed

Montevideo: President Jose Mujica of the Republic of Uruguay has received H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, in the capital, Montevideo.

During the meeting, Sheikh Abdullah conveyed the greetings of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan to the President of Uruguay, and his best wishes for further progress and prosperity for the people of Uruguay.

Sheikh Abdullah also highlighted the importance of bilateral relations between the two countries and ways of boosting them in all fields.

For his part, President Jose asked the UAE Foreign Minister to pass his greetings to His Highness the President, stressing his country's keenness to strengthen relations with the United Arab Emirates.

During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral relations between the two countries and means of strengthening them in addition to a number of issues of common interest. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
