Princess Alia Praises UAE humanitarian efforts

Princess Alia Al Faisal, Chairwoman of the Jordanian charity association "Al Aydi Al Waeda” has praised efforts of the President, H.H Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan in extending humanitarian assistance to the needy around the world. In remarks during a meeting here today with the General Secretary of the Red Crescent Authority Sanaa Darwish Al Qitbi, Princess Alia also praised the role of H.H Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, the President's wife, Chairwoman of UAE General Woman Union and honorary Chairwoman of (RCA).



"We appreciate Sheikha Fatima's sustained effort to care for the needy, and provide them with a glimmer of hope” she said. Princess Alia expressed her deep appreciation for all efforts of the RCA, under the chairmanship of Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, to alleviate the suffering of the many aggrieved people around the world. The meeting also underlined the appalling conditions to which the Palestinian people had been subjected by the Israeli occupation. (The Emirates News Agency, WAM)
