Private sector to remain closed for three days

Private sector companies and corporations across the country will be closed for three days as of Thursday, Jan.5, to mourn the death of Sheikh Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum, according to a circular issued by Dr. Ali bin Abdullah Al Ka'bi, Minister of Labour and Social Affairs. Work will resume on Sunday Jan. 8. According to the circular, the Eid-ul-Adha holiday for the private sector will start on Monday Jan. 9 for three days to end on Thursday Jan. 12.
