Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, Adviser to His Highness President Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, said that the President's idea to set up the Pro-Falcon Centre - the largest centre in the world for breeding falcons - has put UAE among the countries that preserve the environment and wildlife. The Pro-Falcon Centre is envisaged to be the centre for research and a unique seat of science on the global level.

The Falcon Conservation Project 'Pro-Falcon' was established in Al Ain in 1996 with an initiative of Sheikh Khalifa, and it is the first and biggest project of its kind in the Middle East and grew to become the largest in the world. The project is part of the worldwide efforts to conserve falcons, especially the species threatened by extinction. - Emirates News Agency, WAM
