RCA Hospital provides medical services to quake victims in Indonesia

Pariaman, Indonesia - The UAE Red Crescent Authority's field hospital in the Indonesian city of Pariaman has started to provide medical treatment and surgeries to the injured people in the quake-shattered district of western Sumatra. The hospital, was opened under the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, General H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler's Representative in the Western Region of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the RCA.

The hospital consists of four specialized sections including rooms for medical check-ups, clinics, surgeries and sections for internal and Gynaecology and Obstetrics. The hospital's medical team also started implementation of an alternative ambulance plan through a mobile clinic that stopped at a number of villages in the district to treat patients there and to carry patients with critical cases to the RCA hospital in Pariaman. - Emirates News Agency, WAM
