RCA delegation arrives in Philippines to deliver humanitarian aid to typhoon-affected people

The UAE Red Crescent Authority (UAE) delegation, led by Khamis Mohammed Al Suwaidi, Director of the RCA branch in Sharjah, has started series of meetings at the UAE Embassy's headquarters in the Philippines, with Filipino officials to set a action plan for distributing urgent relief aid for the victims of Haiyan Typhoon, which hit the Philippines and has left tens thousands of affectees.

Al Suwaidi said that following the arrival in Manila, a meeting was held at the Embassy's headquarters in the presence of UAE Embassy's Charge d'affairs in the Philippines, Mohammed Abdul Rahim Al Naqbi. to discuss best ways to deliver humanitarian aid to the typhoon-affected people.

The delegation met with Richard Gordon, Head of the Philippine Red Cross, to set the necessary arrangements on how to deliver the Emirati humanitarian assistance to badly-affected areas. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
