RCA delegation inspects new UAE-Jordanian camp for Syrian refugees

The UAE Red Crescent Authority (RCA) delegation has inspected the new UAE-Jordanian camp for Syrians refugees.

The delegation was briefed on the reception process of refugees and their accommodation, as well as their demands and needs.

The visit comes within the programmes of the RCA to supervise and assess conditions of the Syrian refugees in order to provide the best services to them.

The new camp received a round 300 Syrians refugees during the past couple of days. The refugees were transferred to Jordan by the team of the RCA volunteers in coordination with the International Organisation for Migration (IOM), which in turn transferred them to the camps in Jordan.

The delegation included the Acting Deputy Secretary General for Relief and projects at the RCA, Naima Eid Al- Muhairi and Deputy secretary general for support services at the RCA, Mohammed Yousef Al Fahim and Fathia Al Nadhari, Director of the Department of Orphans at RCA. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
