RCA delegation to the Philippines starts to distribute aid to typhoon victims

Manila: Mohammed Khamis Al Suwaidi, Director-General of the Red Crescent Authority branch in Sharjah, held a meeting on Wednesday with the Chairman and CEO of the Philippine Red Cross, Richard Gordon, and examined ways to commence distribution of the RCA relief aid to the victims of Typhoon Haiyan.

The meeting was attended by the UAE Ambassador to the Philippines, Mousa Abdul Wahid Al Khaja, and a number of Philippines' officials, The UAE envoy offered condolences to the Filipino people over those killed in the incident, noting that the UAE supports the Filipino people over the catastrophe.

For his part, Mr. Jordan praised the huge efforts being exerted by the UAE and the RCA to alleviate the suffering of victims in disaster zones. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
