RCA dispatches 940 tonnes of food staff to Mogadishu

The Red Crescent Authority (RCA) sent yesterday a ship to the Somali Capital, Mogadishu, carrying 940 tonnes of food staff and other relief materials to help the victims of drought and famine there.

The humanitarian aid includes food stuff, medicines, clothes, blanket, sheltering materials, school devices and electrical appliances.

The move follows the directives by the UAE leadership to urgently dispatch humanitarian aid to Somalia to alleviate exacerbating humanitarian situation. - Emirates News Agency, WAM
