RCA implements humanitarian operations in Pakistan's Swat Valley

The UAE Red Crescent Authority (RCA) is carrying out humanitarian and relief operations to alleviate the sufferings of people in Pakistan's Swat Valley affected by incidents of violence.



The relief operations will ensure necessary food supplies, blankets and shelters for thousands of people who fled the valley.



RCA is working in coordination with Pakistan Red Crescent and UAE's diplomatic mission in Islamabad with an aim of providing the best humanitarian services to the victims.



Assistant Secretary General of RCA for Relief and Projects Saleem Hamad Al Junaibi said that the RCA gives major attention to humanitarian efforts targeting Pakistan, and always ensure its presence on ground as per directives from UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of RCA HH Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.



Al Junaibi added that RCA received several appeals from Pakistan to participate in the humanitarian operations there in order to alleviate the sufferings of the victims of the recent incidents.



The RCA also received reports of the worsening humanitarian situation in Swat Valley and moved accordingly with an aim of providing help to the victims.
