RCA receives Dh1 million for drought victims of Somalia

Mohamed Khalifa Al Qamzi, Secretary-General of the UAE Red Crescent Authority (RCA), has received a financial support worth Dh1 million donated by Emirates Islamic Bank (EIB) for the relief of the victims of drought in Somalia. This gesture comes within the framework of the bank to support the numerous humanitarian projects in many countries that have been affected by natural disasters. Al Qamzi expressed his appreciation to EIB initiative for humanitarian relief in Somalia. For his part, Faisal Aqil, General Manager Retail Banking at EIB said that the bank is keen to support humanitarian and charitable activities sponsored by the RCA inside and outside the state. - Emirates News Agency, WAM
