RCS-sponsored medical team concludes its Yemen mission

The International Medical Team sponsored by the UAE Red Crescent Society, RCS, has wind up his mission in Yemen after conducting many successful open-heart surgeries free of charge for a number of Yemeni patients in collaboration with the Italian San Donato Group. The Emirates World Health Group, EWHG, has performed 38 open-heart surgeries, 150 bypass operations and 250 diagnostic treatments.



On the occasion, the UAE RCS yesterday held a ceremony in its office in Sana'a to mark the end of the mission and honour the Italian medical team and all those who had participated in the success of the mission. The patients, who under went the surgical operations and their relatives, wished President H.H. Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan longevity, good health and more progress and prosperity to the UAE people. (The Emirates News Agency, WAM)
