The Red Crescent Society (RCS) has begun the second phase of the construction and renovation project for destroyed or affected houses in Palestine. Yousef Al Hadad, Director of the UAE Friends Society in Gaza said that many families whose houses suffered damages in the past have received their houses back after maintenance works were completed by the RCS. He added that the works covered 259 houses in Gaza and the Western Bank. The houses were renovated at the cost of US$550,000 of which US$250 was allocated for Gaza. The renovation works that were undertaken by the RCS have made it possible for hundreds of families to resettle in their houses after a long prior of homelessness. The projects was completed at a higher speed and in coordination with the Palestinian Ministry of Public Works. (The Emirates News Agency, WAM)
