The UAE Red Crescent Society (RCS) has distributed foodstuff and other relief materials among victims in war-ravaged areas in Southern Lebanon. A RCS delegation has delivered foodstuff parcels and gifts to the orphans in Al-Sadigain village near Qana town.

The delegation, headed by Dr. Saleh Al Taei, RCS' director of Relief and Emergency, also visited the TCS-supported mobile clinic. The UAE charity organisation has further pledged to provide the Hamoud university hospital in Sidon with artificial respiratory systems and sundry medical supplies.

Meanwhile, Randa Berri, wife of Lebanese Parliament Speaker, has appealed to world community to render clinical and psychological support to people with special need in Lebanon, especially to cases suffering from the repercussions of the recent month-long war between Hezbollah and Israel. Mrs. Berri made her appeal as she met the RCS delegation in Sidon (Emirates News Agency, WAM)
