RCS distributes sacrificial meat to needy world-wide

The Red Crescent Society, RCS, yesterday said that it started distributing the Eid Al Adha sacrificial meat to around 10, 000 beneficiary families in the country. Sana'a Darwish Al Kitbi, RCS Secretary General, said that the RCS also dispatched thousands of sacrificial meat to more than 40 countries to be distributed to the poor, orphanages and hospitals.



Beneficiary countries included Jordan, Bahrain, Palestine, Iraq, Sudan, Egypt, Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, Somalia, Bosnia, Afghanistan, Philippines, India, Pakistan, Albania, Ethiopia, Indonesia, Benin, Burkino Faso, Thailand, Chad, Tunisia, Gambia, Sri Lanka, Ghana, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Togo, South Africa, Tanzania, Senegal, Mauritania and UK. RCS Secretary General commended the benevolence of the donors who made the RCS' work a success. (The Emirates News Agency, WAM)
