RCS lauded for assisting Iraqi people

The Chairman of the Iraqi Red Crescent Society has commended the UAE Red Crescent Society, RCS, for its continuous assistance to the Iraqi people. Dr. Saeed Ismail Haqqi also praised the humanitarian initiatives of the government and people of the UAE, implemented in accordance with the directives of President H.H. Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and with the personal follow up of Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, who is also the Chairman of the RCS.



This came during the distribution of the humanitarian assistance, the consignment no. 28, which is part of the air bridge embarked by the RCS to deliver relief assistance to the Iraqi people. Ali bin Shmeil Al Ka'abi, RCS representative in Iraq, said that the consignment had been handed over to the appropriate quarters in Iraq, adding that the humanitarian assistance was being distributed through the Iraqi RCS in various Iraqi towns and regions.
