RCS makes a tour of Iraqi hospitals

Basra - A delegation of the UAE Red Crescent Society, RCS, yesterday made a tour of a number of hospitals in Basra to ascertain their immediate needs. The tour covered the Republican Hospital and the Educational Hospital in Basra as well as the Iraqi Red Crescent Society. Dr. Mustafa Ali, Director of the Republican Hospital, expressed his gratitude and appreciation for H.H. President Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the RCS and the UAE people for providing assistance to the people of Basra. He said almost all hospitals were in great need of water, electricity and medical supplies. "We in need for everything and I know the UAE people will be generous as always to extend all kinds of help to their Iraqi brethren," he said. "We, in Iraq, cannot forget the initiative of our UAE brothers and their campaigns for the support of Iraq," Dr. Ali said. (The Emirates News Agency, WAM)
