A planeload of medical assistance from the UAE Red crescent Society, RCS, left yesterday from the Abu Dhabi International Airport to the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, to deliver medical items to the Iraqi Red Crescent Society. The items include first aid boxes, food items and medical assistance. The move was part of the RCS efforts to continue to provide support to the Iraqi people.

In a statement, Ahmed Hilal Al Muhairbi, Deputy Secretary General for Financial and Administrative Affairs, reiterated the RCS' commitment to improve the existing joint action between the UAE RCS and its Iraqi counterpart. This, he added, is to improve the living and health conditions of the poor and weak category of the Iraqi people to help them overcome the current difficult situation.
