RCS sends new planeload of supplies to Palestine

The 11th UAE relief plane carrying 40 tonnes of foodstuff and medicine for Palestine will leave today for Al Areesh Airport, Eygpt. "This is part of the UAE Red Crescent air bridge for extending relief supplies to the Palestinian people" said Saleh Mohammed Al Mulla Deputy of General Secretary for Foreign Affairs in the RCS. The cargo donated by Fatih Ali AL Khajah, comprises floor, baby milk and other food items in addition to medicine and medical equipments. Mohammed Nassir Al Otibah, Deputy of Volunteers Department at the RCS will accompany the supplies to the Palestinians territories. "The medicine and the medical equipments will be distributed to the hospitals and Palestinian medical centres which have a great shortage of such items " Al Mulla said. He indicated that offices of the RCS in Palestine would be responsible of the distribution in co-ordination with the Palestinian Health Ministry. He praised Al Khajah for his charitable work and his continued response to the Society's appeals. (The Emirates News Agency, WAM)
