The UAE Red Crescent Society, RCS, will carry out Al Adhahi Project (Sacrifice) inside the country and abroad at a total cost of Dh3 million. More than 10.000 families in the country and other needy in more than 40 countries will benefit this year from this charity programme. Khalifa Nasser Al Suweidi, RCS Board Chairman, said that the Society has this year increased the number of those benefiting from Al Adhahi project countrywide. The move comes in line with the directives of Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Chairman of the UAE RCS, in enhancing the role of the RCS at the local level. Al Suweidi added that the UAE RCS annually carries out Al Adhahi project in some countries abroad in the framework of its strategy in extending hand to all brotherly people and sister countries, particularly the needy and those under human catastrophes.
