Khalifa Nasser Al Suweidi, Board Chairman of the UAE Red Crescent Society, hailed yesterday efforts made by H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, in support for humanitarian works. 'Sheikh Sultan is a symbol of charity through his continuous good deeds towards the poor and needy, and victims of wars and disasters,' Al Suweidi said in a press statement to mark the RCS winning of the Sharjah medal of voluntary work. He also highlighted Sheikh Sultan's generosity for the RCS's relief operations, notably in Palestine and Iraq. 'The honour will give us more strength to pursue our noble message of humanitarian works and dedication,' he added. (The Emirates News Agency, WAM)
