Red Crescent receives donations from Jumbo electronics staff

UAE Red Crescent branch in Dubai received cash donation amounted to Dh 250,000 from the staff of JUMBO Electronic Company as a support to the Red Crescent campaign favouring Tsunami victims in southeastern Asian countries. Mohamed Abdullah Al Zarouini, R.C. Dubai branch manger lauded the noble initiative of the company's staff and their solidarity with the victims.

He assured that the response of the staff to the Red Crescent campaign was in consideration to the efforts made by UAE Red Crescent in Asian vulnerable countries, as well as a support to its charity endeavours to alleviate the sufferings of victims. He insisted on the role played by the private sector institutions in supporting Red Crescent charity and humanitarian efforts, and the unlimited support in humanitarian arena.

He said that Red Crescent was currently executing ambitious relief programs and pioneer charity projects to enable the victims to return to their normal life. (The Emirates News Agency, WAM)
