The MoU also streamlines the ways of enhancing capabilities of the Red Crescent volunteers in Yemen. Al Suweidi said that the MoU reflects the keenness of Red Crescent Society in implementing various humanitarian activities in Yemen, and will work towards more projects there in future.

He added that these activities are carried out under the directives of President H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and the constant follow up by Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of Red Crescent Society.
