Royal Jet, the Abu Dhabi-based air charter company, yesterday signed a marketing agreement with ExxonMobil Aviation to set up the first Avitat fixed base operation (FBO) in the region at Abu Dhabi International Airport. ExxonMobil's Avitat is one of the world's leading networks of branded FBOs and will now offer its facilities in Abu Dhabi to all customers. Captain Tilmann Gabriel, chief executive, Royal Jet, said: "We are proud to join the Avitat family of FBOs and invite all executive aircraft flying into the Gulf and Abu Dhabi to try the Royal Jet facilities.

"Customers enjoying the Avitat hospitality at Royal Jet will also be able to benefit from the ExxonMobil Aviation service by using their Airworld cards as payment for fuel requirements," he added. Among services provided by Avitat globally are a separate pilots' lounge, flight planning and weather briefing facilities, executive conference rooms and passenger lounges, limousine and hotel reservation services, a telephone and community information area, a vending and restaurant area and catering. Royal Jet is also looking at forging a partnership with the ultra-luxury brand Maybach. (The Gulf News)
